Nov. 6 7:45 PM PT8:45 PM MT9:45 PM CT10:45 PM ET3:45 AM GMT11:45 AM 北京时间-The Washington Nationals have declined their $10 million option on Kearns and are paying a $1 million buyout, presumably ending his disappointing tenure with the team.
Analysis: The 29-year-old Kearns hit only .195 with three homers and 17 RBIs in 174 at-bats this season, when he was hampered by a thumb problem. Elbow and foot injuries limited Kearns to 86 games in 2008, when he batted .217 with seven homers and 32 RBIs. In 2007, his only full season in Washington, Kearns hit .266 with 16 homers and 74 RBIs.

Oct. 22 8:26 AM PT9:26 AM MT10:26 AM CT11:26 AM ET4:26 PM GMT12:26 AM 北京时间-Kearns still hasn't begun a rehab assignment following surgery three weeks ago on his right thumb, according to the Washington Post.
Analysis: Kearns has been on the 15-day disabled list since Aug. 4 with a deep thumb bruise. The Nationals thought he'd be back by now or in the next few days, but it's looking unlikely. He's hitting .195, so if this has fantasy implications for you, then you need to take a second look at your team.
Apr. 27 1:47 PM PT2:47 PM MT3:47 PM CT4:47 PM ET9:47 PM GMT5:47 AM 北京时间-Kearns went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and one RBI in the Nationals' 8-1 win over the New York Mets on Sunday.
Analysis: Kearns has been solid of late, going 7-for-19 with a double, a triple, two homers and seven RBIs in six games. That's a vast improvement from his first nine games when he went 4-for-24 with a homer and four RBIs.
