5/16/2012 Landon Cohen, DT The Arizona Cardinals have signed Cohen, a move that puts the team at its roster limit of 90.

Analysis: The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Cohen has played in 25 NFL games with five starts. He played in one game for the New England Patriots last season. Cohen was a seventh-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2008. He played in 20 games in two seasons with the Lions, four of them as a starter. Cohen played in two games for Jacksonville in 2010 before going to the Patriots.
5/16/2012 Darrelle Revis, CB Revis says Tim Tebow is a "born leader" who shows passion in everything he does - even when the New York Jets backup quarterback is "eating lunch."

Analysis: The All-Pro cornerback has been impressed with how Tebow has fit right in with his new teammates after being acquired from Denver in March. Revis says he has noticed that Tebow has "the gift" of being able to lead and does so by example all the time.
5/16/2012 Eli Manning, QB Manning says he's looking forward to getting his latest Super Bowl ring Wednesday. The Super Bowl champs are being presented with the ring Wednesday evening in Manhattan at Tiffany & Co.

Analysis: Manning, who won his first Super Bowl in 2008, enjoyed the best season of his career in 2011.
5/15/2012 Jerome Harrison, RB Detroit put Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list.

Analysis: Harrison had surgery in October for a brain tumor, which was discovered after the Lions attempted to trade him to the Philadelphia Eagles.
5/15/2012 Terrance Knighton, DT Speaking publicly for the first time since a bar fight last month, Knighton opened with an apology.

Analysis: Knighton apologized to the city of Jacksonville and the organization for "embarrassing them with the actions that happened that night." Then he answered any and every question about that night, his rehabilitation and his chances of making a full recovery. If his eye responds as well, the Jaguars should have their run-stuffing defender back for training camp.
5/15/2012 Brandon Hardin, S The Chicago Bears have agreed to a four-year deal with Hardin and now have all their draft picks under contract. The agreement was announced on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.

Analysis: A third-round pick out of Oregon State, Hardin missed the 2011 season due to a broken shoulder. He had 105 tackles, three forced fumbles and one interception in his college career.
5/15/2012 Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Jones-Drew is a no-show again. The Jacksonville Jaguars running back is skipping organized team activities, which began Tuesday.

Analysis: Since the workouts are voluntary and Jones-Drew has stayed away before, it's not a huge concern. But the Jaguars would like to have their best offensive player in attendance to get acquainted with a new coaching staff and new playbook.
5/14/2012 Terrance Ganaway, RB The New York Jets have signed running back Terrance Ganaway, one of their sixth-round draft picks, to a four-year contract.

Analysis: Ganaway, expected to back up Shonn Greene and Joe McKnight in the Jets' backfield, was taken with the 202nd overall pick - one spot before New York also took his former Baylor teammate, offensive lineman Robert T. Griffin. Ganaway set Baylor's single-season school records with 1,547 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns rushing last year as a senior. He could see time with the Jets as a short-yardage and goal-line back.
5/14/2012 Jay Cutler, QB Cutler says his right thumb is fine and he can't wait to return to lead a significantly upgraded Bears offense. The quarterback said he's recovered from offseason surgery to repair the fractured thumb. He talked both football and diabetes awareness during a Monday appearance at a school promoting screening and treatment among young people.

Analysis: He suffered the injury late last November against San Diego while making a tackle on Antoine Cason, who had just picked off the Bears quarterback. Diagnosed with a Type 1 diabetes following his second NFL season, the seventh-year pro oversees a foundation dedicated to raising the profile of the disease.
5/14/2012 Tim Hightower, RB Hightower has re-signed with the Washington Redskins.

Analysis: The 25-year-old Hightower rushed for 321 yards on 84 carries in five games last season before going on injured reserve with a torn ligament in his left knee.
5/11/2012 Calais Campbell, DE Campbell says he is relieved that the long-term contract he and the team had sought has been completed and he hopes he "can be a great player in this league for a lot of years to come." The defensive end spoke at a news conference Friday, one day after negotiations were completed on a five-year contract extension reportedly worth $55 million with $31 million guaranteed.

Analysis: The Cardinals had played the "non-exclusive" franchise tag on Campbell while continuing to negotiate a long-term contract. Removal of that tag should clear the way for the Cardinals to add a player or two to their roster under the salary cap.
5/11/2012 John Beck, QB The Texans have signed Beck.

Analysis: Beck spent the last two years with the Washington Redskins. He appeared four games with three starts last season, throwing for 858 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions. Beck will join T.J. Yates and rookie Case Keenum in the competition to be Matt Schaub's backup.
5/11/2012 Phil Taylor, DT Taylor needs surgery to repair a torn chest muscle and will be sidelined for months.

Analysis: Taylor tore his left pectoral muscle on Thursday lifting weights. Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Taylor, who started all 16 games as a rookie last season, will have an operation next week. Shurmur said Taylor will "miss months, not weeks" but wouldn't speculate if the 335-pounder will miss the 2012 season.
5/11/2012 Mikel LeShoure, RB Leshoure has pleaded guilty to marijuana possession, two months after police discovered him with pot in his mouth during a traffic stop in southwestern Michigan.

Analysis: It's the second time Leshoure has been caught with marijuana in Berrien County. Leshoure missed the 2011 season because of a torn Achilles.
5/11/2012 Vince Young, QB The Bills have reached a deal to sign Young, providing them an established backup and a bona fide threat in their wildcat formations.

Analysis: Young, who turns 29 later this month, has been biding his time to determine the next step of his career after he completed his one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He struggled as Michael Vick's backup last season, finishing with four touchdowns and nine interceptions in six games, including three starts.
5/10/2012 George Iloka, S The club announced on Thursday that Iloka had come to terms.

Analysis: The 6-4, 225-pound Iloka, the 167th pick in the draft, played in 53 games with 45 starts over four seasons for Boise State. He finished his college career with 232 tackles and seven interceptions.
5/10/2012 Shaun Prater, CB The club announced on Thursday that Prater had come to terms.

Analysis: Prater, a 5-foot-10, 190-pounder out of Iowa, was the 156th overall selection. He played in 48 games with 35 starts over four seasons for the Hawkeyes, totaling 171 tackles and seven interceptions. He averaged 24.7 yards on interception returns, bringing back two for touchdowns.
5/10/2012 Da'Quan Bowers, DE Bowers has torn his right Achilles tendon during an offseason workout and will undergo surgery The second-year pro out of Clemson was a second-round pick in the 2011 draft. He started six of his 16 games as a rookie, finishing with 25 tackles.

Analysis: Bowers was injured at the team's practice facility on Thursday.
5/10/2012 Kelvin Beachum, G The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed Beachum. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Analysis: The Steelers took the former SMU offensive lineman with the 248th overall pick in the draft. The 6-foot-2, 306-pound Beachum was a two-time first team All-Conference USA with the Mustangs. Beachum was the third lineman taken by the Steelers in the draft, following first-round pick David DeCastro and second-round pick Mike Adams.
5/10/2012 Drayton Florence, CB The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with Florence, who was released by the Buffalo Bills last week.

Analysis: Florence is a 10th-year pro whose release from the Bills was regarded as a mild surprise. He had 45 starts in 46 games during his three-year stint with Buffalo. But he was slated to make $4 million in base salary this season and the Bills took South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore and LSU cornerback Ron Brooks in the draft.
